The Land Of The Free

Is this the stupidest thing I have ever seen ? One more time :

"The Unites States is based on having freedom of religion, speech etc. which means you can believe in God any way you want (Baptist, Catholic, Methodist etc) but you must believe "

Now, we can all laugh at the stupid Americans but unfortunately this is becoming a common state of mind to a lesser extent. How often do you see or read a point of view which basically boils down to "You're free. Free to do it our way or fuck off". That's not what freedom is boys and girls.

I'm sure you can find equally stupid letters in the Enfield Gazzette every week, and from that we can extrapolate (as you have done) that a) all Enfieldians are stupid and should be laughed at, and b) basically all British people now believe (whatever the particular stupidity was).

So much for rational thought.

Put it back ! I have a joke about you extrapolating my extrapolations.

Actually, on second thoughts ...

Wow, such a feeling of power,
the cause of all this crime?
Just by being honest - if I
lied about it and said "Oh,
yeah, holy ghost, batman, it's
all true" then it would all be
OK and the Soilent Majority could
go back to sleep. People, they're
made of people!!!!

Hi Fred,
I'm not a spam bot, I'm a
poker guy. Sorry if my last
comment sounded cryptic, maybe
the references I made were a bit
too regional/topical to be
easily understood.
I have to deal with these
evangelistic nitwits all the time,
only they mostly couldn't have
written that letter-to-the-editor
on account of poor literacy skills
to go with their muddy thinking.

Yep, sure. And the literacy skills in your first post were pretty special.
